Including Friends and Family in Your Ceremony
Readings
The simplest way to get other people involved in your ceremony is to ask them to perform a reading. Many couples use this opportunity to include Biblical passages in their wedding, but a reading can literally be anything at all - I've seen everything from Corinthians to Beatles lyrics to Winnie the Pooh. It's your wedding, so you can be as creative as you want.
Recognition of Parents
You may choose to take a moment during your wedding to recognize the role of your parents in your lives, either through a Mothers' Rose Ceremony or an Address to Parents. Either can be a brief, but meaningful way to involve those closest to you in your special day.
