The simplest way to get other people involved in your ceremony is to ask them to perform a reading. Many couples use this opportunity to include Biblical passages in their wedding, but a reading can literally be anything at all - I've seen everything from Corinthians to Beatles lyrics to Winnie the Pooh. It's your wedding, so you can be as creative as you want.
You may choose to take a moment during your wedding to recognize the role of your parents in your lives, either through a Mothers' Rose Ceremony or an Address to Parents. Either can be a brief, but meaningful way to involve those closest to you in your special day.
There are several rituals and traditions you may wish to include in your ceremony, and many of these provide an opportunity to allow friends and family to participate in your wedding. Click the button below to learn more about these services.
